Futuristic weapons

No matter how far we come, until there are no more reasons for war, the military technology will keep progressing.

War has been one of the biggest reasons why we have such advanced technology as we do no. For an example if there was no military, there would be no internet. Most of the things first used for combat later get transformed into something useful for the general public.

If you’re interested in what the future warfare will look like, we have a list of five things we find most interesting blow.

1. Autonomous weapon system

Autonomous weapon systemThis refers to remote controlled or artificially intelligent mobile robots or devices designed for military applications such as transport, rescue, defensive or offensive action and more. Many AWS are currently in use, but many more are under development. This will help save young men’s lives as there will be no need for that many humans to operate in the field.

2. Electromagnetic rail gun

An electromagnetic rail gun is a projectile launcher that uses a pair of parallel conductors or rails. They are being researched as a weapon that would use neither explosives nor propellant but rather rely on electromagnetic forces to achieve a very high kinetic energy for a projectile.

3. LaWs

Laser weapon system or LaWs is a directed energy weapon developed by the US navy. It uses an infrared beam from a solid state laser array which can be tuned to high output to destroy the target or low output to warn or cripple the sensors of the target. The advantages of this weapon are low cost per shot and small storage space.

4. Metal Storm Sentry Gun

Metal storm sentry gun utilizes only one moving part, the bullet. The bullets are fired using an electronic ignition, which makes this gun the most reliable in the world. It can shoot up to sixteen thousand rounds a second.

Corner Shot

5. Corner Shot

This is basically a gun which has a camera mounted on it, a display, and a rotating barrel. This way soldiers can effectively stay out of the line of fire and still hit their shots with perfect accuracy.
